Extrusion and thermoforming, CNC machining, complete shop equipment, tools and more from leading truck accessories supplier to be sold by Tiger Group and Century Services Corp. on October 12
BLUFFTON, Ind. (10/2/17) –Tiger Group, in cooperation with Century Services Corp., is conducting an online-only offering of well-maintained plastics extrusion and thermoforming equipment, CNC machining and shop equipment, along with other assets no longer needed for the continuing operations of PendaForm Co., as it closes its Bluffton facility. Online bidding has begun at www.SoldTiger.com and will close in rapid succession, live auction style on Oct. 12, beginning at 10:30 a.m. (ET).
PendaForm, a leader in thermoformed plastic truck accessories for aftermarket customers and major automotive OEMs, continues to operate four other facilities in the U.S. and Mexico. The 86,000-square-foot Bluffton plant specialized in integrated extrusion, single and twin sheet thermoforming, robotic trimming and assembly for truck bed liners and other products.
“This is the largest U.S. thermoforming equipment sale of the year,” said Matt DelGuidice, Senior Director of Tiger’s Commercial & Industrial division. “Any Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive accessories supplier would be very interested in this sale.”
Rotary thermoformers for sale include three- and four-station units, as new as 2012, by brands like Brown Machine, MAAC, and Sentinel; and five HPM extruder sheet lines with upgraded motors and controls.
The sale also features a 2008 Brown Machine Model R-244ETS-917, four-station rotary thermoforming machine located at an offsite facility, with a replacement cost of over $3 million.
Trimming, material handling and assembly equipment up for bid includes six, 40-ft. material silos as new as 2014; an AutoTran pad printer; and parts for Brown Machine electric control panels, ovens and other components. Additional equipment includes Conair material dryers and tanks, an IPM stretch wrapper, four Southworth lift tables, and more.
Available machine shop equipment includes band saws; a Dake vertical press; Delta table saws; Dayton belt-driven fans; Gardner Denver and Quincy air compressors; Gardner Denver and Quincy dryers; Great Lakes air dryers, and more.
Previews of the assets being offered in the auction will be held at the Bluffton, Ind. facility, located at 130 W Harvest Rd., on October 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (ET).
