Process advantage by adopting Intelligent Compounding
BENGALURU, India / April 20, 2018
Over 20+ applications demonstrating the process advantage by adopting Intelligent Compounding will be on demo at the international plastics show NPE (May 7-12, 2018), Orlando, USA, from STEER, creator of materials platform technologies that transform and functionalise materials in the fields of plastics, pharmaceuticals, food & nutraceuticals, biomaterials and biorefining.
Filler Masterbatch, Black Masterbatch LLDPE, Black Masterbatch PET, White Masterbatch, Color Masterbatch, PP Talc auto compounds, PP glass-filled, Engineering polymers PC-ABS, PEEK high temperature, Fluoro compounds, Pearlescent pigments, Recycled polymers (engineering), Flame retardant, TPE / TPR /TPV, Long Fibre Thermoplastics, Natural Fibre and Additive Masterbatch are among the applications to be demonstrated at STEER both using the unique ‘Touch & Tell’ format (interactive screen).
Mike Millsaps, COO, STEER America said, “We are employing the Touch & Tell format to elaborate and tell decision-makers the importance of Intelligent Compounding while processing applications. For every application, we have evolved multiple processing challenge scenarios. By clicking on each challenge, one can understand the way forward and technology deployed to improve the processing capability. It is an interactive engagement, which elaborates on enhancing the process advantage with STEER technology at the core.”
The technology demonstration tackles various process challenges, such as, Dispersion, Feeding, Pressure control, Shear, Wetting, Dust Management, Retention, Distribution, Temperature, Increased output, Sensitive, Agglomeration, Strength, Dye, Devolatization, Homogenisation, Residence time and Moisture content.
The ‘Touch & Tell’ screen at the booth will be managed by STEER executives, who will provide insights into Intelligent Compounding of the 20 applications.
