This year’s AMI Plastics World Expos will feature free conference sessions highlighting the transformative impact of artificial intelligence across the polymer industry. Taking place in Cleveland, OH, USA on November 12–13, the event will feature 360+ exhibitors and 90+ speakers across four exhibitions and conferences that are focused on plastics recycling, extrusion, compounding and testing.
For the first time, the Plastics World Expos will host a series of AI Showcases throughout the two-day conference program, focusing on how the industry can harness artificial intelligence to accelerate product development, optimize process control and improve quality assurance.
Professor João Maia of Case Western Reserve University will provide a valuable overview of the topic with his keynote address on “The Future of Plastics”, focusing on the use of AI and machine learning. In addition, four focused sessions across the two days will examine how AI can be exploited in plastics compounding, extrusion, recycling and testing operations. The speakers include senior representatives from Aimplas, Ampacet, Conair, EX31 Automation, LabsCubed, Netzsch, Oden Technologies, Premix, SC Consultants, and the University at Buffalo.
Peter Hannan-Young, Expo Content Manager at AMI, said: “We have selected speakers who will provide attendees with first-hand insights into how artificial intelligence is delivering real efficiencies and competitive advantages. They are going to cover a wide range of exciting applications in product development, machine design, process automation, factory operations, waste sorting, and materials testing and analysis.”
