K 2019, The World’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, is fully booked. Over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries have registered and will occupy the entire exhibition grounds with some 1.8 million square feet of net exhibit space. More than 200,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend. The event will take place at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany from October 16 – 23, 2019.
The exhibitor database is now available at www.k-online.com/2410. At the end of March 2019, the online ticket sales will also be launched at www.k-online.com. These e-tickets are less expensive than tickets purchased in site and allow free use of all public transportation within the Rhine-Ruhr regional network (VRR) of Düsseldorf to and from the trade fair.
K 2019 will again be the global marketplace for innovations where the industry players meet to demonstrate the sectors’ capabilities, discuss current trends and set the course for the future. K 2019 will address current challenges in the industry especially in regard to “plastics for sustainable development” and “circular economy”. These topics will not only be highlighted at the exhibitors’ booth but also in the comprehensively ancillary program.
The special exhibition “Plastics Shape the Future” will address packaging waste, marine litter and climate change as well as resource conservation, energy efficiency and recycling. “Plastics Shape the Future” will not only offer an international information and networking platform but will also involve politics and socially relevant groups to a greater extend with keynote speeches and speed talks.
The Science Campus of K 2019 stands for the dialogue between science and industry, in which sustainability and recycling management will also be intensively examined. In addition, the joint participation of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) and its member companies will this time also focus on the topic of circular economy.

The first K event was organized by Messe Düsseldorf in 1953 and takes place every three years. The last staging of K in 2016 attracted 3,293 exhibitors from 61 countries on more than 1.8 million square feet of net exhibit space and 232,053 trade visitors, with 71% coming from outside Germany.
