Short-Stroke Suction Cups for Flat Surfaces

CARY, North Carolina – March, 2013 – FIPA today announced the release of its newest addition to the world’s largest selection of suction cups: The Short-Stroke Suction Cup specifically designed for flat surfaces. This newest release offers another efficient solution for special handling tasks. Applications range from removing hot plastic moldings from injection molding tools, to handling work pieces with rough or grained surfaces. “The FIPA Short-Stroke Suction Cup represents a highly versatile solution component allowing our customers to achieve a greater suction force than conventional suction cups in a small space”, says Rainer Mehrer, President and Owner of FIPA.
Short-Stroke Suction Cups at a Glance:

  • PWIS- & Silicone-Free with HNBR: Paint-wetting impairment substance (PWIS) usage is not permitted for products that will later be painted or coated. The low-marking  FIPA Short-Stroke Suction Cups made of HNBR meet this requirement.
  • Low Wear: Thanks to its vertical suction lips, Short-Stroke Suction Cups are  not subject to lateral sliding movements. This results in minimal abrasion  and thus a long cycle life.
  • Ideal for Rough and Grained Surfaces: Dovetailed double sealing lips allow the  FIPA Short-Stroke Suction Cups to develop a high suction force even on rough or  grained surfaces.
